Okay, so recently I've been playing a lot of Fire Emblem: Awakening. It's a pretty good game, my only complaint being some mild language that makes it inaccessable to younger players. Nevertheless, I was completely charmed by a beautiful story line, top-quality character designs, and fun, engaging tactical game-play that made it one of my favorite games in a long time. Anyways, there's a function (known as "Support") on it in which characters (if they fight together and "pair up" enough on the battlefield) will develop stronger relationships with each other. This has three advantages: One is that these characters will fight even better if working as a team and get awesome bonuses and tag-team attacks as time goes on. The second is unlocking cut-scenes in which the characters have a (usually entertaining) conversation. The third is that if characters of opposite genders get a high enough Support levels, they get married, which in turn unlocks hidden characters later in the game--their children. I love the family function (siblings, parents, and children automatically get Support Bonuses), and, come on, who doesn't want to see the next generation of awesome? So, without further ado, one of my favorite couples, Lon'qu, Miriel, and their son, Laurent.
That's a guy?
ReplyDeleteGo away, Andrew. (Glares menacingly). The guys look much less cute and adorable in the game, this is just a Chibi version. However...yeah...Laurent does look more feminine than any of the other dudes. Except for this one warrior-priest named Libra. But Libra looking like a girl is an in-game joke.
