Late one August night
Starlight glints off of glass panes
the dragonflies's wings
Ripples of murky
Black bog-water whispers to
sweeping wooden oars
Raft drifts aimlessly
Two figures resting on log planks
gazing at the moon
together
This is what happens
When a poetry-nerd reads
Mark Twain--yep. Haikus.
